Awards Night 22nd October 2006 The season ended with another successful dinner at the club favourite Cafe Suze in Mayfair. A crowd of 30 Plus members and their lady guests eat drank into the early hours of Sunday morning. Amongst all the eating and drinking of some fine food and wine there was time for the awards. Batting went to Richard Burgess again. Bowling to the ever green Vance Thompson. Fielding to Dave Chapman Smith Roger Blunt to Andy Swann The JR Tankard for the over 40's player went again to Tony Penman South Captain Steve Lester received the Trevor Campbell Cup with grace. Marty Conway presented his champagne moment to Dave Chapman Smith for his 3 consecutive 6's A new all round performance of the season award, the Martin Conway Tankard, selected by the chairman, was presented to a surprised Martin himself. A fitting tribute to his work as secretary and to his outstanding umpiring. And last but not least the chairman Richard Keyse, whom had presided of a great evincing, received the Prime Lamb tankard.
