Hartley Wintney - Monday 2nd May 2005

Two last minute defections lead to us having to field George Holden and Hamish Penman (both did a great job). The situation was compounded by us having a distinct shortage of bowling and partly as a result Hartley Wintney smashed 356-8 in their allotted 45 overs with two century makers hitting us all over the park. However, Mark Soloman and Dave Morgan bowled well, the later taking 3 wickets. In reply LNZCC managed 178-9 with George Holden and Hamish Penman each scoring 1 not out. Say no more really. Who said we needed tougher fixtures!!!"
